Reflection

First time blogging and I must say I learned a lot. I knew what blogging was but I never thought that I would be blogging. I feel so wiser because I used to tell my mom that blogging is for business people. Look at me know blogging like a real business woman. You can say anything that's on your mind without being judge. You can have your own opinion and share your feeling. I would definitely say blogging is much more fun then Facebook. I would most definitely use blogging in the future and would recommend it to anyone.

Ps. HAPPINESS is a world wide Desire.

Social Media in the classroom

Hello everyone

Yes, I think you could use social media in the classroom. This is an advantage for the Teacher and Student. Teachers could motivate learners through social media. I would like to believe that every young girl is on social media, if its Whatsapp, bbm or Facebook. You can create groups on social media to remind your learners of assignment, homework and meeting. The teacher can also create a group for the parents so the can be informed of they child's progress.

Ps. The pursuit of Technology integrates Happiness

How did Teaching Practice change my idea of how I see myself as a teacher?

My first day at school was very overwhelming. I was scared, excited, nervous etc. In my first week I gave class to the gr.10's already. I'm a very shy and soft person and I was scared that the learners would respect me at all. I was a bit nervous and shy in front of the class but they made me feel very comfortable. I gained respect for them and they had respect for me. There were kids that gave problems but that was nothing I could handled. Through this experience I know that this the place or the career I want do to for the rest of my life. I gained lots of Confidence and that was something I didn't have. I do believe there is still much more improvement and I'm ready for it. It made me feel good to teach others.

Ps.. HAPPINESS often sneaks through a door you didn't know you left OPEN.

How do I see myself as a Teacher.

I'm very dedicated to my work and career as a Teacher. I believe that every youngster out there should have a bright future and someone they can look up to.
I could always see myself as a Teacher. I remember sitting in class as a kid, listening to the teacher and thinking, you know, I'm pretty sure I could explain that a little bit better.
I define myself as someone with high standards who is teaching not just knowledge and skills, but the attitude to achieve success. Through this career I gained a lot of confidence.

I have my own believes that will affect on my performance in front of a class. I am learning how to teach but I still have a lot to learn. In the Future I think I can grow as a person and as a Teacher if I keep my mind open to new possibilities.

Ps.. To the world you may be a Teacher but to your students you are a HERO!

Why I want to be a teacher and the characteristics of a good teacher!

“So what do you want to be one day?”, I was asked. I still remember the answer to that question as though it was yesterday. “A teacher “, I answered diligently!

For me teaching isn’t just a calling it’s my greatest passion. I believe that I’m definitely a born educator. Whenever I see the cute smiles on the faces of children when they learn something new it brings a certain amount of joy to my heart. I’ve been an educator since the age of four although it was with all my dolls; I’ve always known that education is my greatest passion. If I can be an example in a child life, in a positive way then I'll know I'm passing in education.  

 Ps.. If the LEARNERS are HAPPY then I'm HAPPY

The characteristics of a good Teacher

• An engaging Personality and Teaching Style (Hold attention of the class)
• Clear objective lessons
• Effective Discipline skills
• Good communication with parents
• High expectations
• Knowledge of curriculum and standards
• Passion for Children and Teaching

I think that I will be a great teacher because the most important characteristics for me is that you must have a passion for children. You must enjoy what you do. I like to teach others and make them smile and I do believe that I have all the characteristics maybe not the best of it but there is room for improvement.

Ps.. It is not how much we have, but how much we enjoy, that makes HAPPINESS
